Our Background Overview
The Gateway to opportunity (G2O) database was developed in partmership with the Nelson Mandela Metro as a public employment service, linking Jobs seekers with potencial employers. The system features job seeker registration funtionality, a reruitet portal, and a compoete placement funtionality, supported by Coega HCS Recruitment and placement team.
The system currently carries 271703 job seekers’ records, is SMS enabled, and to date the coega HCS has successfully placed over 43 000 Jobs seekers in employment.
The G2O already interfaces with several other databases including MERSETA, the Department of Labour’s ESSA system, the NLRD held by the South African Qualificatins Authority and Amathuba. It is currently the most comprehensive job seeker’s database available in the Eastern Cape, having evolved from its predicessor the nine year old Coega Labour Management System six years ago.
